It’s time for the 15th Annual Spring Celebration and YOU are invited!!

Purpose:  To bring family and friends together for a weekend of visiting, relaxation, cooking, eating, and fun.  Pssst – rumor has it that we have been married 15 years this year, Paul is turning 65, and that this might be the last year we do the Spring Fling.

 

Activities:

·         Friday Night:  -  Bar B Que  -  We will provide Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Paul’s Beans, Macaroni Salad, and Pop.

·         Saturday Morning:  -  Pancake feed at the Ye Old Town Hall followed by the Waitsburg Parade.

·         Saturday Afternoon:  - Optional activities include:  Horse Racing at the Fairgrounds, tour Bruce Manor, shop, sample the wares of the local brewery, relax, visit, maybe shoot some trap.

·         Saturday Evening:  -  Jackpot Dutch Oven Cook off and Potluck Dinner.

·         Saturday Night:  -  Campfire, bring an instrument if you play.

·          Sunday:  -  Sourdough Blueberry Hot Cake breakfast, relaxing, walking, visiting, enjoying the Waitsburg area, etc.

·          Monday:  -  Informal breakfast and head for home.

 

Saturday Evening Jackpot Dutch Oven Cook-off

·         A Cooks’ Meeting will be held sometime Saturday afternoon to decide on the cook-off “Rules”.  Everyone is welcome.

·         Potluck  -  Dutch Oven cooks will contribute their creations to the pot luck, everyone else bring whatever you like.  Judging will be by peoples’ choice.

·         Dutch Oven Winners will be announced after dinner.  Winners take the whole pot in their category.

 

What You Should Bring: 

There will be dry camping for anyone who wants to stay for the weekend.  Or you can come whenever you want and leave when you must.  Bring a lawn chair, food to share, yourself, and a smile.  You may want to bring along a musical instrument, bicycle, and/or a Dutch Oven.  We hope to do some trap shooting and/or target practice Saturday afternoon.
