             *** Welcome to 2007 ***

Reminder:  The first DOG ( Dutch Oven Gathering ) of 2007 is at Larry & Sue Bentz’s house this Saturday, Jan 6th at 6:30pm.  It’s a Potluck. Please refer to your NWDOS roster for the address and phone #.

Cookbooks:
Steve Robinson finished proofing/correcting the revised cookbooks in December.  They are now back at the Stuart household.  Leanne will bring some to the January DOG.

Another Reminder:
  Dues for 2007.

Only $15.00 for a whole year of fun, camping and fellowship.

If you are attending the DOG this Saturday, you can pay then.  If not, you can mail them to Larry Bentz: NWDOS Treasurer.  For those who have already paid, thank you.

February DOG: Arlen Veleke is hosting the February DOG .  This will be a fun and exciting time.  I am cutting and pasting the info we have so far.  Go to the calendar page for more information.

March DOG   Brian & Diane Dietzman will be hosting a Potluck at their house.  They live in Auburn a few miles from the Muckleshoot Casino.  Address, directions and phone # will be provided at the January DOG.

Other State Park Camping in 2007:  The August date at Kanaskat –Palmer State Park will not be set until Arlen gets possible dates from the Lacey Farmers’ Market.  That way we won’t have any conflicts.  We SHOULD have a pretty good idea by the beginning of March.

Judy Voth will be providing info for the September campout at Larrabee State Park.

Helpful Hint: Collection bag.  Maybe the perfect bag for gathering shells at the beach is a plastic mesh bag. The kind that onions, oranges and grapefruit come in. The bag is much sturdier than a plastic grocery sack. The sand falls through the mesh instead of collecting in the bottom. And you can spray the shells with water and let them air dry inside the mesh bag. It reduces mess from the sand and it is much easier to clean the shells so they can air dry.

Remember, if you would like to have an outing or a potluck at your home or if you wish to schedule an event, email Loris at Lkfab@aol.com  or  Leanne at teamstuart@comcast.net     Please, please, please always put Dutch Oven (NWDOS) or something equivalent in the subject box so we will know it is a safe email to open.

Hope to see you all at Larry & Sue’s on January 6th!
